Ibiza is best known for the huge clubs and their world famous DJ line-up’s, the luxury and glamorous lifestyle and its beautiful high-end retreats. But the truth is – Ibiza has also many other sides that people still haven’t discovered, one of them is the quiet low season which takes part during the winter months, which we like to call “the other side”. This side is at least as beautiful and inspiring as the luxurious and glamorous fiesta side. We have therefore put together some of our favorite winter activities:

Yoga – Yoga has been around for thousands of years and it keeps evolving. Many people in Ibiza like to use the relaxing winter months to spoil their own soul and recharge their batteries from the summer season. Ibiza is the ideal place to practice yoga; surrounded by the beautiful nature, the sea and lots of sunshine, which makes it the perfect destination to work on our entire body. That’s one of the reasons why Yoga has become more and more popular on the island and literally offers retreats for everyone. The Hot Yoga Ibiza Studio, which is situated on the outskirts of Ibiza town – has recently been named as the most beautiful yoga studio in Europe!

Fitness – We all did it! Yes, we are talking about the amounts of Christmas cookies, turkey, winter snacks we all enjoyed during the busy holiday season, which neither left us with enough space and time for proper work out sessions! Now is the time to get back into normal work-out routines. Ibiza is a heaven when it comes to fitness activities, the island has got some fantastic gyms such as Cotton Fitness Club which is almost like using the gym at a luxury hotel or the fabulous gym in Ibiza town B-Fit! If you prefer to train outdoors why not book one of our dedicated personal trainers for a tailor-made program to give you that extra push. Alternatively, there are lots of different CrossFit groups, or friends that come together for an efficient work-out on the beach!

Almond Blossom – Visiting Ibiza during this time of the year may actually make you forget about all the mega clubs and world class parties the island offers during the busy summer months. In February/March the very famous and beautiful Almond Blossom starts to present itself from its most stunning side. The white-pink trees are all over the island and gives it the typical spring look Ibiza is famous for. Why not let one of our guides to take you for a fabulous hike through the lovely valley of Santa Ines in order for you to experience the Almond Trees in full blossom?!

Hiking – There is no better way to discover the true beauty of our wonderful island than hiking and the community is getting bigger and bigger every year! Ibiza has numerous hiking trails and there is a hike for everyone. For the real hike-pros, our beautiful white isle offers some real challenging trails longer than 40 km, which is something that should satisfy even the most frequent hikers! Or perhaps you prefer to keep it short and sweet? No problem, you don’t need to get out in the middle of nowhere to explore some breathtaking trails. Ibiza will surprise you with some truly stunning shorter hikes of 3 km, for example along the beach sides of Salinas or the country side of San Miguel!

Culinary – After being active during the week it’s time to treat yourself for a sunny Rose lunch by the sea! One of our favorite restaurants La Escollera is open all year and has got stunning views over Formentera, the perfect place to relax while enjoying some of the best Mediterranean food on the island!
