There are only 4 more sleeps until Christmas (eek!) and we couldn’t be more excited about it. To celebrate in a truly Deliciously Sorted way, this week we would like to give you our favourite tips to become the perfect Christmas host:
1. Create a warm and magical atmosphere
One of our favourite things about Christmas are the decorations, we always aim to be even more creative every year! We are big fand of candles and fairylights, but here are a couple of our favourite ideas this year:
2. Don’t forget a little bit of Christmas spirit
Every party needs a little background music to create some ambiance, even more so at Christmas, so get your Christmas playlist ready and wack on some of your favourite Christmas carols.
3. Keep the booze flowing
The perfect host always makes sure no one is going ‘thirsty’, so keep an eye on everyone’s drinks to keep them full! And if you’re up for going that extra mile, why not prepare some delicious mulled wine or christmas punch?
4. It’s all about the food
We all know that food is a major element of the festive celebrations, so food is key to a party. You don’t have to be a Michelin starred chef to do so, sometimes it’s just about the thought and effort you’ve put into it. Think about your guests like, add your own personal touch to traditional festive food and if the cooking doesn’t go well, take it with a pinch of salt, you’ll soon be laughing about it!
5. Don’t forget to have fun
Hosting a party can be quite stressful and it is quite easy to lose your cool and become one hot mess. Remember that guests are there to see you, so don’t spend all night in the kitchen stressing over the yorkshire puddings and most importantly, remember that you’re there to have fun too, we recommend enlisting a couple of assistants to lighten the workload.
