Tomorrow, Greenpeace´s custom-built campaign ship, Rainbow Warrior, arrives in Ibiza to support the local fight against proposed oil drilling off our shores. This vessel has been recognised as one of the most environmentally-friendly boats ever made and is currently embarking on a voyage from Valencia to the Canary islands, via Mallorca and our own Ibiza!
Greenpeace are strongly advocating the idea that it is possible to have a 100% sustainable future whilst avoiding further exploitation of non-renewable sources of energy, such as oil, and are hoping to promote this idea during this tour.
Local charity, Ibiza Preservation Fund, of which our very own Serena Cook is co-founder, is organising a flotilla to welcome this iconic boat, which will meet east of the island of Espardell at 2pm then sail together to Ibiza Harbour.
