All clichés aside, there’s no denying that Ibiza has a pre-season spring in it’s step; think cute Easter bunnies sprouting out the top of Dalt Vila like popcorn, and maybe, you’ll understand an inkling of the joy and giddiness that occupies the island at this time of year.

The thing is, whilst the winter has been a glorious hub of tranquillity (and all-important summer preparations!) here at DS we’re already starting to tap our itchy feet for the early-bird cocktail of restaurant openings and beach club unveilings. The good news is, it’s happening. Temperatures are rising, the shops are opening their shutters, and what could even be described as hustle and bustle is the new soundtrack to our beloved Ibiza town.

In light of the Easter bank holiday weekend, here are just a few of our favourite springtime island activities:

1. Explore the outdoors

Rock climbing, parasailing, hiking, you name it, Ibiza has it. Work up a sweat and take in the stunning scenery.

2. Beach club bathing

That’s right, our favourite eateries/places to lounge and look fantastic are already starting to open their 2016 doors. Amongst the early-openers are the iconic Cotton Beach Club in Cala Tarida, as well as Jockey Club, Nassau and The Harbour Club in Talamanca.

3. Village venturing

From San Jose to Santa Gertrudis; think white washed walls, colourful fauna and gorgeous little cafes on every corner.

4. ‘The Openings’

Deserved of a blog post in their own right, if spring is the calm, these fiestas are the storm. Keep an eye out for our next blog instalment where we explain what’s happening, where it’s happening, and why you absolutely have to be there.
