Today we thought we would take you all along with us on one of our many events. Formentor beach is one of the most beautiful places in the world and we were lucky enough to spend a whole day there on Saturday for a 40th birthday party, for a day of fresh air, sunshine, yummy food, clowns, ice cream, kayaks and a speed boat (not a bad way to spend a day working).
Formentor beach is located on the Formentor peninsula in the northern part of Mallorca, the beach is about one kilometre long and is very narrow. The beach is very child-friendly as the water is very shallow, there are also two very good restaurants on the beach. Another good thing about this beach, is the fact that many trees overhang the beach so there is a nice amount of shade available which is essential during the summer months. The hotel situated on this beach “Barcelo Formentor ” was adored by the rich and famous back in the day with guests such as: Elizabeth Taylor, Charles Chaplin..
Kicking off at 9:30am, we started setting things up, the kayaks arrived by water (pretty impressive), the ice cream bicycle arrived (this time by foot) and the guests started to arrive. The clowns face painted and entertained the little ones, while the older children enjoyed the kayaks and the adults had a ride on the speed boat. Happy days.
Everyone also had a lot of fun with the gynkana, the adults actually more than the children. The day ended with all the children floating on boards. The sea was so calm and peaceful at this point, lovely end to a lovely day. Here’s some photos of a few of our favourite moments:
