Valentine’s Day is coming up this Friday, and for all of you love-birds out there, we have created our very own Delicious Guide to this special day. If you are staying on our beautiful island during this romantic weekend, here are our suggestions to making Valentine’s Day even more exceptional for you and your significant other. If you find yourself somewhere else: don’t worry! You can still take our advise and tailor it to wherever you may be in the world.

Friday Night

As most of us will be working on Friday, we suggest planning something low-key and romantic for the evening. Treat your partner to a romantic dinner in one of the top restaurants on the island, we would recommend Pastis or El Clodenis – think candle light, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries and delicious food!

clodenis-nye If you want to bring out the big guns, have a personal chef come over to your house and prepare you an intricate and delicious 3-course meal. Enjoy fine-dining in the comfort of your own home!

Saturday Morning

Prepare breakfast in bed for your boyfriend/girlfriend, with fresh pressed orange juice made with locally grown oranges, scrambled eggs made with organic payes eggs (we love the ones from Can Curune), wholewheat toast, fresh fruit, Ibiza Coffee and of course, bacon. Remember: the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach!

Breakfast in Bed If you are not much of a chef, there are plenty of amazing places to go for breakfast here in Ibiza. Try Cappuccino in Marina Botafoch, or Passion Cafe right next to the Gran Hotel. We love their eggs Benedict and Florentine! Try one of their juices to start your day off with a vitamin boost.

Learn how to cook really simple, home made, delicious meals together with your partner. Meet other enthusiastic kitchen fanatics from around the island and trade your own cooking secrets!

If you want to do something more low-key, drive to a remote part of the island and take a long walk. If you want the beach and sea we suggest Salinas. 1.5km long: park by the Hostal Salinas and walk along the beach all the way to the tower for stunning views to Dalt Vila and Formentera.

667645torre_de_ses_portes_las_salinas_ibiza If you want to see a different side of Ibiza, drive up to Santa Ines and take a walk through the almond blossoms in the valley. If you are feeling peckish, stop at Can Cosmi and try their tortilla. It is the best on the island – take our word for it!

Both offer delicious seafood and paellas. Enjoy your lunch with a bottle of rosé – we recommend Domains OTT or why not try the island’s own: Ibizkus!

To finish this utterly romantic holiday, enjoy a Spa day at Can Curreu which is open all year around. After such a strenuous couple of days, you both deserve that couple’s massage!
